The Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Strategic Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management (Level 8 Add-On) is designed for professionals who want to progress into senior, strategic or leadership roles within procurement, logistics and supply chain functions.

Delivered fully online and part-time, the programme reflects the realities of modern supply chains, where organisations must respond to global disruption, regulatory pressure, digital transformation and increasing sustainability demands. The course builds advanced capability in strategic decision-making, data-led analysis, ethical leadership and the effective use of technology across procurement and supply chain operations.

Across the year, learners develop a deep, integrated understanding of how supply chains operate at a strategic level. Modules such as Intelligent Technologies in Procurement and Supply Chains and Decision Making and Business Analytics focus on how data, digital systems and emerging technologies support informed decision-making. Global Supply Chain Management develops the ability to manage complex, international supply networks, while Regulatory Compliance in the Supply Chain ensures graduates understand the legal and governance frameworks shaping modern operations.

Sustainability and ethical practice are embedded throughout the programme, with Business Ethics and Sustainability examining how responsible decision-making and ESG principles can be leveraged as a source of competitive advantage. Strategic leadership and execution are further developed through Applied Practice: Crafting and Executing Strategy, which allows learners to apply theory directly to real organisational challenges.

    Intelligent Technologies in Procurement and Supply Chains

    This module provides an in-depth exploration of intelligent technologies in procurement and its integral role in supply chain management. Students will gain a thorough understanding of procurement principles, supply chain management theories, intelligent technologies and models, with a focus on developing effective procurement strategies that align with organisational objectives. Emphasis is placed on fostering innovation in supply chain
    practices through emerging technologies and trends.

    Global Supply Chain Management

    To provide the students with the theoretical background and knowledge which will enable them to analyse Global Logistics & Supply Chain Management and to understand the elements which require integration in order to ensure the successful management of Logistics & Supply Chain organisations.

    Decision Making and Business Analytics

    The module aims to develop the ability to understand, analyse and use financial information as part of strategic planning and implementation process within an organisation. The student will develop an awareness of issues in financial reporting and corporate finance, as well as developing a strong foundation for further study. The module will provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to evaluate business situations from a financial viewpoint, and to enable them to play a key role in financial decision-making and control at an executive level within an organisation.

    Semester 2

    Business Ethics and Sustainability

    This module introduces students to the topic of business ethics and sustainability by covering aspects of moral philosophy, ethics in business, sustainable development, corporate social responsibility and environmental social governance. On completion of the module students will develop an understanding of how ethical and sustainable practices can be utilised as a source of competitive advantage in business.

    Applied Practice 4: Crafting and Executing Strategy

    his module is designed to enhance the student’s understanding and the capacity to evaluate critically the theory of strategic management and the challenges facing senior management in formulating strategy. The nature and complexity of the business environment will provide the framework for the development of skills and competencies to facilitate an analysis of resources and strategic capability across the organisation. Through case studies, group discussions and evaluative exercises, participants will learn how to appraise and select strategic options in relation to an organisation’s vision, structure and goals. The module also provides coverage of particular problems inherent in strategy implementation, change management, and management across cultures. The module will be applied to the candidates’ workplace and for those candidates that are not currently in employment, they will be supported with a live case study.

    Regulatory Compliance in the Supply Chain

    The module will explore the application of standards such as ISO, EudraLex legislation, CE Marking, the EMC directives as they apply to individual manufacturing and distribution operations. This module will identify the role of the regulatory bodies FDA (US Food and Drug Administration), the EMA (the European Medicines Agency), the European Food Safety Authority, Safe and Sustainable Transport and give the student the ability to identify the regulators which have required compliance across the supply chain.

    Modules emphasise strategic decision-making, technology-enabled supply chains, regulatory awareness and ethical leadership. Assessment is largely applied, using case studies, projects, presentations and analytics-based assignments.

    Holders of a Bachelor of Business in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Level 7

    Level 7 equivalent qualification in a cognate discipline

    Recognised Prior Learning (RPL)

  • This programme will be delivered online though our virtual learning environment.

  • Each 10-credit module normally equates to approximately 200 total learning hours. Total learning hours include the time spent in class, such as lectures, tutorials, and practical elements, as well as time spent working independently outside of college.

    The balance between these varies by discipline and level of study, and learners should be aware that workload will increase at particular times, especially when assignments are due.

  • Assessment on the Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Strategic Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management (Level 8 Add-On) is continuous and applied, with a strong emphasis on real-world relevance and professional practice.
