Niall Breslin – Zero Male Suicide

This International Men’s Day, the EDI office is delighted to announce that Niall Breslin will give a talk for TUS staff on MS Teams from 10:00 – 11:00. The theme will be Zero Male Suicide. There will be a Q&A session at the end of the talk.

Activism in Action: The Fight for Stalking Legislation

As part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, the EDI office is delighted to announce that Eve McDowell will deliver an online talk for TUS staff on November 29th.

Eve is a Co-Founder of Stalking Ireland, a campaign which called on the Department of Justice to make stalking a crime in Ireland. Eve is an activist and advocate. She is currently working with national consent education programme, Active* Consent. Active* Consent supports young people and those important to them (teachers, parents, college staff and policy makers) in building their knowledge of consent and healthy relationships. Eve has just completed her Masters in Public Advocacy & Activism and has a Level 9 Qualification in Sexual Consent Promotion: Skills and Practice. Eve’s work in this sector has been driven by her own personal experiences and dedication to raise awareness about the issue of stalking.
