The TUS EDI Project Fund supports innovative projects that promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion within TUS and more broadly. The project fund encourages collaborations across Professional Service and Academic Staff, along with students and community organisations. Applications are now open for initiatives from TUS academic, research and professional staff, that contribute to:
- Raising awareness of themes related to equality, diversity and inclusion within TUS
- Increase the representation and participation of under-represented groups in staff and student populations
- Facilitate implementation of good practice regarding supporting EDI
Applications must cover one or more of the 9 grounds protected in the Irish equality legislation (outlined an the application form) and/or socio-economic status. Intersectional approaches are particularly welcomed.
Projects and Activities may encompass:
- Curriculum design activities
- Events that promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- Small scale research projects
- Community Engaged Projects
Three projects will be funded in this academic year, to the value of €2,000 per project. Individual staff, group and collaborative projects will be considered, including joint staff and student initiatives. Details of how staff-student collaborations are managed are outlined in the FAQ section in the application form. The funding is specially designed to facilitate innovative EDI related projects that might otherwise not receive funding. Funding for the projects will be issued in January 2024 and successful projects must be completed by May 13th 2024.
